I photographed this cabbage for a college project exploring b/w photography. This is styled after Edward Weston, my favourite photographer.
Taken using my Canon 30D with the nifty fifty, lit by a desk lamp on the right.

I took this macro of a daffodil back in 2009 and its getting to that time again.

Learning Curve

New compact camera.

My old Panasonic bridge camera died on me so we got a replacement,  a Canon IXUS265HS, and it's tiny!
It's packed full of features though including a 1cm macro mode,  full HD video, wi-fi and the ability to control it remotely from my phone!
I hope to get some shots through the microscope with it but need a way of holding it in place over the eyepiece.
