I took a cutting from my old Thanksgiving Cactus (Not to be confused with the true Christmas cactus) and while it was rooting I noticed this little tiny shoot, less than an inch long, and how pink it was. I had to get pics!
It was a difficult setting as it was in a pot and I didnt want to see the pot in the shot so I had a bit of jiggery pokery to do!
The camera was tripod mounted and with the fading light I took some long exposure shots with the self timer-I had to be quick!

Salutations from the Cactus World!
This is a 1:1 shot of new stems on my Schlumbergera 'Christmas Cactus'. Each stem is a mere half inch long!
