Lichens!

I spotted lots of these on the concrete fence posts in our garden. Very interesting organisms!

I also noticed marked difference in the colour of the grey lichens when they are wet

Snail on my Aloe

 Bringing my plants in from the greenhouse I spotted this little chap nestling among the leaves of my Lace Aloe.

New spider for me

 Was having a little midnight garden safari the other night and I saw a small spider on the fence. I got an ok photo, then the following night I went out again and got a much better shot. The species is Neriene montana, a relatively large member of Linyphiidae (money spiders)
